Who Are We

PHAZE Country 87.6 (3CTY) is a non for profit radio station based in Ballarat, Victoria broadcasting on 87.6 FM. 

Ballarat is located in the Central Highlands of Victoria.  In 2020, Ballarat had a population of 109,553 making it the third-largest city in Victoria.

Gold was discovered near Ballarat in 1851, sparking the Victorian gold rush.  In 1854 local miners launched an armed uprising against Government forces.  Known as the Eureka Rebellion, it led to the introduction of male suffrage in Australia and is seen as the origin of Australian democracy.

Key tourism sites include the Eureka Centre, on the site of the Rebellion and home to the Eureka Flag; a look at Ballarat’s gold rush history Sovereign Hill; Kryal Castle; Lake Wendouree; the Botanical Gardens and historic architecture.

PHAZE Country targets women aged 35-50 playing the latest country music and classics with key programs including our drive program Country Club, Ray Hadley’s Country Music Countdown and Country Picks with Adam Harvey and the Duck, with a strong commitment to local news and information.
